E.Question 3
To be able to gain efficient feedback we asked 4 students both outside of and in college to watch our teaser trailer and look at our poster and magazine, which they then gave us both positive and negative feedback and further gave us the chance to asses our products. We asked four questions to each student
1.how did you feel after watching the trailer?
2.did you receive everything you needed to watch the movie?
3.what could be improved?
4.what was your overall satisfaction?
The audience feedback from question one was very positive,
as our desired effect was projected to the audience and we felt that the
mysterious character definitely made an impact on our audience and increased
their curiosity, which was something that we really planed from the beginning
of our research and planning. Moreover, question two was also another positive
feedback, which made us realise the importance of texts and font styles on both
the poster and trailer and the imaged used on the poster was also mentioned to
have effected the audience and the use of the one eye could be interpreted in
many ways, which is shown to keep the viewer anxious when watch our teaser
trailer.
We felt like question 3 was the most useful and beneficial
of them all, as we gained the improvements to be a significant part that allows
us to learn and develop our selves in the pre-production and post production
process. One important and frequently said improvement was the length of the
trailer being short and the trailer not containing enough locations. When we were editing our footage we also knew
that the locations was not enough, as we only used one location to film and the
audience feedback proved this and we feel like it was indispensable to ignore.
However, as our narrative was set in a hospital during our location scouting we were unable to find a abandoned hospital and
our only choice was to use the medical room in our college. The length of our teaser trailer was intended to be short we wanted our trailer to contain diminutive scenes thats effective in leaving the audience
with many questions in their minds and we feel like we succeeded in this, as from
question one the audience was very inquisitive.
Lastly, from the final question we gained very positive and
encouraging feedback in terms of the audience actually willing to go and see
the movie. From this we acknowledged the prominence of the title of a movie,
the font styles of texts that are used in print media such as posters and
magazines. Moreover, the combination of the teaser trailer and poster was also
mentioned to be something that we accomplished and the consistency within the
teaser trailer and poster was noticeable to the audience and the use of the
heart beat was also taken to account for the audiences interest, as from the
feedback the sound was a important element that engaged them to our teaser
trailer. The last question we asked four
of the students helped us put emphasise on the effectiveness of our teaser
trailer and certain features, such as the blood added to make the trailer
realistic, which we believe was essential to be as professional and engaging as
possible. Overall the feedback
was very beneficial for us that allowed us to really understand our work and as a group and we believe that the teaser trailer,
poster and magazine were successful in appealing to our audience.
